Since its inception in 2008, the Unemployment Support Group Ministry has successfully helped many unemployed, in transition members, and referrals obtain employment. Job seekers from both Immaculate Conception and our surrounding sister parishes have found meaningful employment through the encouragement and support of our members and volunteers in this faith based ministry. We are pleased to announce that the ministry is now taking on a new face and a new name, broadening its scope into a full circle networking group that we hope will attract both job seekers and talent seekers through onsite events and online connections. We will also host learning workshops focused on helping job seekers upgrade their skills, perfect their resume, and effectively market themselves in today's competitive job search environment. We are seeking additional volunteers to assist in presenting the workshops, conduct discussion groups, or share your knowledge and experience. The ICC Employment Circle officially launched in late May 2011 and is attracting both job seekers and talent seekers. As a faith based ministry, we encourage prayer, networking and mutual support. We welcome contacts from either talent seekers or those who know of employment opportunities, as well as those seeking employment.
We meet on the third Saturday of each month (except holiday weekends) in the Upper Room – Upstairs in the church. For more information, or if you're interested in volunteering, please contact Michael Szalecki at mfszalecki@comcast.net or 908-268-6732.
