The curriculum for grades 5 through 8 implements the Common Core State Standards.
Religion is more than just a subject at Immaculate Conception and permeates our daily classrrom life. Religion instruction includes sacramental preparation, Bible study, and Church history.
The Language Arts curriculum incorporates the discussion of various genres of literature and the written analysis and critiuqe of literature all of which include complex vocabulary and a focus on grammatical structure.
Math integrates Common Core State Standards and offers high school level Algebra I. The math program at Immaculate Conception School consists of small, fexible groups for all students in grades 5 through 8.
Science includes the Life Sciences, Earth and Space, and Physical Science (Chemistry and Physics). Seventh grade students participate in the annual Science Fair.
Instructional studies include American History, World History, and Geography.
The Spanish program begins with the basics and transitions in the the older grades to include complex grammar, reading, writing and speaking.
